Secure Folder lets you hide files and media from prying eyes
Building on the extended privacy features that made a cameo with the Note 7, there was a new Secure Folder option, interwoven with Samsung's broader security measures on the device, and can be accessed with the new biometric ID iris scanning method on the phablet as well. In the Secure Folder zone, you were able to maintain a totally separate subset of documents, media, contacts, emails and notes that are visible only to you, after you supply the necessary authorization, be it a finger/iris scan, a password, or a simple PIN pattern.

Not for much longer, as you can see in the screenshot on the right. Samsung is apparently planning to offer Secure Folder as a separate download in Samsung Apps further down the road, after the Nougat update has been done and dusted. A pretty welcome news, considering the added value of privacy these days, though Samsung isn't binding itself with timeline for the release just yet.
