
Unlike most of the recently-introduced smartwatches, the Gear S doesn’t run Android Wear, but Tizen. The display of the Gear S is a curved, 2-inch Super AMOLED one with 360 x 480 pixels. Other features include Wi-Fi, heart rate sensor, barometer, UV light sensor, compass, a dual-core 1 GHz Exynos processor, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal memory, and a 300 mAh battery. In case you don’t want to use it with a SIM card, the Gear S can also be connected to a Galaxy smartphone via Bluetooth 4.0.
